lyrics
Burning the Sephiroth
“These be they who are unclean and Evil, even the Distortion and Perversion of the Sephiroth; the fallen restriction of the Universe, rays of the coils of the stooping Dragon.”
I know naught of the quietness
Thou hast shown me Thy steps
and through me, shall Thy name be known
Give me the strength to submit the forgetfulness,
within affray of thoughts and unshattered flagellations…
May I cross the flames untouched.
Sound the dissonant trumpet
Longer than a thousand putrid breaths
The stench of hollow faith is unbearable…
Sown ashes on a dead soil
Caricature of rebirth, mother’s filth.
Feast for maggots!

Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli
