Necromancer's Fugue
Only through ways of self-flagellation
could one achieve this soul-refinement.
Pity you, the slumbered ones
that worshiped the first cognoscent barrier
and never knew the inner-self;
never met the wish of perfection;
never dreamt of what laid underneath.
Rebellion is the echo of our words.
What are words without echo?
Better never being born
than betraying oneself to favour nothing!
But pride is drunken with vanity... suffocating.
Death is no sufficient punishment
in the eyes that no longer see.

Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann

This whole album is flawless. This is music for walking in the rain and letting your thoughts run. It's not just a collection of songs, but an actual album. yakbone
Featuring members of Noothgrush, Graves at Sea, and more, the Oakland metal band juxtapose cavernous doom with spaced-out shoegaze. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 21, 2024

US Black / Death Metal. Another brain child of the extremely talented artist Naas Alcameth. This is seriously good destroys anything in its way! The music goes from BM blasts all the way to a near funeral doom with a ton of atmosphere & back again. The entire thing is haunting as hell from the first to the last note. I think it is time for a new album! It has been six years already... :) Highly recommended!!! bmurator
